
Infection Control Committee
POLICY
The infection control committee representatives will have the responsibility for overall infection control monitoring and make recommendations to the Managing Members for implementation.
PROCEDURE
The infection control committee’s responsibilities are as follows:

Develop and maintain the policies and procedures for preventing, controlling and investigating infections.

Ensure that logs are implemented and updated as necessary, to prevent infection and promote cleanliness for:

Ball Pit
-
Mats
-
Whirlpool foot bath
-
All other equipment utilized for client treatment

Make necessary recommendations to the Managing members as necessary for compliance with State and Federal laws.

Conduct infection control meetings no less than annually and maintain meeting minutes accordingly.

A committee quorum for infection control meetings shall consist of no less than two individuals to constitute a valid committee quorum.

The committee will be composed of persons whose educational background and experience (e.g., M.D., R.N., and other interested professionals) are adequate to perform this function.

The administrator may appoint and serve on behalf of the Clinic, the administrative and professional staff who will serve on the committee. The administrator will also appoint a committee chair, responsible for reporting all findings to Clinic management and the Managing Members by written report and committee meeting minutes.
