
Negative Communication
POLICY:
Negative communication is not allowed at Believe Therapies. In addition, the recipient or any witness of negative communication is required to confront and shutdown the communication process.
Negative Communication: Communication that involves speaking about someone (ie. fellow staff members, clients, or client family members) or something (ie. company, policies and procedures, etc.) in a negative or damaging manner.

DEFINITION:
Examples of negative communication:

Talking in a negative or demeaning manner

Spreading false or damaging reports

Criticism or conjecture that can harm credibility or reputation

Slandering, ridiculing, or maligning; persistent name-calling that is hurtful, insulting or humiliating; using a person as the butt of jokes; abusive and offensive remarks

Encouraging others to disregard a supervisor's instructions

PROCEDURE:

All Believe Therapies’ employees bear the responsibility of keeping our work environment free from negative communication.

All employees of Believe Therapies will refrain from negative communication.

Any employee who witnesses or is the recipient of negative communication should confront and shutdown the communication process.
